When my wife Katja and I were deciding where to put down roots, we chose Palo Alto for its extraordinary public schools. As the father of three PAUSD alumni, I care deeply about the district that gave my children such a strong foundation.

As an engineer and the technical co-founder of Shazam, my career was built on turning big ideas into systems that actually work. This takes gathering hard data, deep research, creative collaboration, persistence, and the humility to listen. I want to bring that same grounded problem-solving to our school board.

Our board must lead with empathy, treating students, parents, and teachers as true partners. We honor that partnership by building flexible pathways that meet students exactly where they are—protecting the robust honors options that keep us competitive with peer districts, while heavily prioritizing student mental wellness.

As your board member, I will focus on responsible stewardship of our budget. By prioritizing transparency and shifting away from costly legal disputes, we can ensure every tax dollar goes exactly where it belongs: into our classrooms to support our teachers and students.
